3M CeQUIN I Inorganic Insulating Paper is an inorganic-based paper for high-temperature electrical insulating applications. Qualified for use in electrical insulation systems up to Class 220® per UL 1446 and IEC Std. 60085; CSA Component Acceptance at 220 C. Applications include ground and layer insulation in dry-type transformers, as well as interwinding insulation in strip-wound coils and electromagnet coils; pole insulation in traction motors; wire-wrap for UL Recognized Class 250 C appliance wires; and spiral-wrapped core tubes. The high inorganic content in CeQUIN I papers (up to 90 percent) offers excellent thermal and dielectric stability, as well as high thermal conductivity, long-term voltage endurance (up to three times that of calendered aramid papers), and low moisture absorption. CeQUIN I papers are compatible with commonly used impregnating varnishes and resins, and are easily impregnated, further enhancing thermal conductivity and coil bonding characteristics. 3M Innovative Paper Technologies UL Recognized Insulation Systems (File No. 65007) may be found on ULs Electrical Insulation Systems database at http.//database.ul.com/systems/.
